Nr Dunstable motorbike & car collision – Magpas called to the scene

At 8:15am this morning (19th) Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Dave Leverton and Paramedic Chris Hawkins) arrived at the A5 near Dunstable via a Magpas Rapid Response BMW. A car and a motorbike had collided – leaving a man (in his 40’s) with multiple serious injuries.

The Helimedix sedated and anaesthetised the patient at the roadside (providing him with critical A&E level care). The Magpas team then accompanied the man in a land ambulance to Luton Hospital, before taking him straight onto Addenbrooke’s Hospital (monitoring his condition all the way). On arrival at Addenbrooke’s, the patient was in a critical condition.

An EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew, an EEAST Ambulance Critical Care Paramedic, a Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service Crew and the Police were also present.

This is all the information we have.
