Nr Downham Market, man suffers collapse – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to the scene

At 1.50pm this afternoon (3rd) Magpas Doctors Ed Barnard and Maria Smith, and Paramedic Chris Hawkins, landed in a rural location east of Downham Market via the Magpas Air Ambulance. They had been called to treat a man who had collapsed.

The Magpas medical team placed the man into an induced coma (giving him A&E level care at the scene). They then accompanied the patient by land ambulance to Queen Elizabeth’s Hospital, King’s Lynn. He was in a serious but stable condition upon arrival at hospital.

The helicopter crew who flew the medical team were Pilot Steve Wood and Crewmember Lee Kennedy.

An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew were also in attendance.
