Nr Chatteris, motocross incident – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to scene

At 2.12pm on Saturday (28th) Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Lee Soomaroo and Paramedic Chris Hawkins) arrived to the north of Chatteris via the Magpas Air Ambulance. A girl (in her teens) had been injured in a motocross incident.

The Magpas team assessed the patient who had suffered a suspected pelvic injury. The Magpas Doctor and Paramedic then worked alongside an EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew to provide the girl with pain relief. The patient was subsequently taken to Peterborough City Hospital, in a stable condition, by the ambulance service.

The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Pilot Andy Figg and Crew Member George Phillips.
