North Peterborough, woman suffers collapse – Magpas Helimedix fly to her
At 2:56pm yesterday afternoon (21st), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Nathan Howes and Paramedic Simon Standen) arrived near Spalding, north of Peterborough, via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance.
A woman in her 80’s had suffered a serious collapse and breathing difficulties.
The Magpas team provided the patient with specialist care, whilst working alongside an EMAS Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew and Rapid Response Paramedic, together with a Community First Responder. The Helimedix then flew the woman to Lincolnshire Hospital (monitoring her condition all the way). On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a serious but stable condition.
The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the patient / the patient with the Helimedix to hospital was: Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member George Phillips.
