North Bedford, car rolls over onto roof – Magpas Helimedix called
At 11:02pm (15th), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Sarah Hazleman and Paramedic Dan Read) arrived in north Bedford, in the Harrold area, via the Magpas Rapid Response BMW. A car was involved in a road traffic accident, resulting in the vehicle overturning and landing on its roof. A man (in his 20’s) was left trapped.
The Magpas team assessed the patient after he was removed safely from the car by a Fire & Rescue Crew. The man had suffered serious chest injuries, but fortunately they were not life-threatening. The Helimedix administered pain relief, whilst working alongside an EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew and Senior Paramedic. The Helimedix then accompanied the patient to Bedford Hospital by land ambulance. On arrival at the hospital, the man was in a stable condition.
The Police were also present. All the Emergency Services worked extremely well together.
The Magpas Helimedix would especially like to thank the EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedics for their excellent team work.
