Newmarket, motocross incident – Magpas Helimedix fly to scene
At 3.52pm yesterday (12th) Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Wayne Kark and Paramedic Dan Phillips) arrived in Newmarket via the Magpas Air Ambulance – after a man (in his 20’s) had fallen from a motocross bike.
The Helimedix assessed the patient who had suffered a serious injury to his lower body. The Magpas team sedated the man (providing specialist A&E care at the scene), before flying him to West Suffolk Hospital. On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a stable condition.
The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene/the Helimedix and the patient to hospital was: Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Simon Standen.
An EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew were also on the scene.
