Newmarket, car & lorry collision – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to man

This morning at 10:17am, Magpas Doctor Sarah McNeilly and Paramedic Simon Standen landed in the Newmarket area via the Magpas Air Ambulance – following a road traffic incident involving a lorry and a car.

The Magpas Doctor and Paramedic provided an elderly man with advanced life support and successfully resuscitated the patient, whilst working alongside an EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew at the scene. The Magpas team then accompanied the man to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in land ambulance. On arrival at the hospital, the patient was in a critical condition.

The Helicopter team who flew the Magpas Doctor and Paramedic to the scene was: Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Lee Kennedy.
Fire & Rescue Services Crews and the Police were also present.
