Near Bedford, 2 x car collision – Magpas Helimedix called to scene

At 2.11pm yesterday (4th) Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Sarah Hazleman and Paramedic Simon Standen) arrived south of Bedford by the Magpas Rapid Response BMW. There was a collision between two cars, leaving a man (in his 60’s) trapped inside a vehicle.

The Helimedix assessed the man who had suffered multiple body injuries. The team sedated the patient (providing specialist A&E care), before working alongside other emergency services to help safely remove the man from the vehicle. The Helimedix then accompanied the patient to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by land ambulance. On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a serious but stable condition.

An EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew, and Fire and Rescue Services were also on the scene.

This is all the information we have.
