Motorbike & car collision, near St Ives – Magpas Helimedix attend

At 1:20pm this afternoon, Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Tom Odbert and Paramedic Paul Sallis) arrived at the A1123, near the St Ives and Needingworth area, via the Magpas Helimedix Rapid Response BMW – after a car and motorbike were involved in a serious collision.

The Magpas team sedated a man (in his 40’s) who suffered severe injuries. After providing A&E level care for the patient at the scene, the Helimedix then accompanied him to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in a land ambulance. On arrival at the hospital, the man was in a stable condition.

East Anglian Air Ambulance, two EEAST Ambulance Rapid Response Officers, an off-duty paramedic, an off-duty nurse and the Police were also present. All the Emergency Services worked extremely well together.

This is all the information we have at present.
