Motorbike & car collision, Bedfordshire – Magpas Helimedix fly to scene

At 1:29pm yesterday afternoon (1st), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Simon Lewis and Paramedic Dan Read) landed near Biggleswade (in the Shefford area), via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance – after a car and a motorbike were involved in a road traffic collision.

The Magpas team assessed a man (in his 40’s) who suffered injuries to his head and body. The Helimedix administered pain relief, before flying the patient to Lister Hospital. On arrival at the hospital, the man was in a stable condition.

The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene, as well as the patient and the Helimedix to the hospital was: Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Steve Crawford.

All the Emergency Services worked extremely well together.

This is all the information we have at present.
