Mildenhall, man suffers serious head injury – Magpas Helimedix fly him to hospital

At 4.20pm yesterday (Sunday 8th), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Sarah Hazleman, Paramedic Simon Standen and Dr Rod Mackenzie) arrived in Mildenhall via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance. A man (in his 50’s) had suffered head injuries when he fell 10 – 15 feet, after a motocross bike collided with a platform he was standing on.

The Helimedix assessed the patient, whilst working alongside an EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew who were also at the scene. The Magpas team provided the man with specialist care, before flying the patient to Addenbrooke’s Hospital. On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a serious but stable condition.

The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene / the patient and Helimedix to hospital was: Pilot Dan Vickers and Crew Member Steve Hunwicks.

This is all the information we have.
