Market Deeping, car and van collision – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to scene
At 4.20pm yesterday (30th) Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Raluca Ionescu and Paramedic Dan Cody) arrived near Market Deeping via the Magpas Air Ambulance, following a road traffic collision involving a car and a van.
The Helimedix assessed a man (in his 70’s) who had suffered face and chest injuries. The Magpas team provided the patient with pain relief, before flying him to Peterborough City Hospital. On arrival at the hospital the man was in a stable condition.
The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene/ the patient and Helimedix to hospital was: Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Chris Hawkins.
East Midlands Ambulance Service Paramedic Crews, Fire and Rescue Services, and the Police were also present.
