March woman falls from horse – Magpas Helimedix fly to scene
At 3:37pm on Saturday afternoon (28th), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Charles Johnson and Paramedic Keir Rutherford) arrived at a field in March, via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance. A woman (in her 30’s) suffered a fall from a horse, leaving her with shoulder injuries.
The Magpas team worked alongside an EEAST Ambulance Crew at the scene, to assess the patient and administer pain relief. The woman was then taken to Peterborough City Hospital in a Land Ambulance, for further observation.
The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene: Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Steve Hunwicks.
All the Emergency Services worked extremely well together.
