March, tractor vs ditch – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to scene

At 3:47pm yesterday afternoon (27th) Magpas Doctor Natalie Lonsdale, Paramedic Ollie Robinson and Doctor Tom Odbert landed in March via the Magpas Air Ambulance. They had been called to treat a man who had been seriously injured when the tractor he was travelling in left the road and entered a ditch.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the patient (in his 50’s) who had sustained chest and abdominal injuries and provided him with advanced pain relief. The medical team then airlifted the patient to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, where he was in a serious condition upon arrival.

The helicopter crew, who flew the patient and medical team, were Pilot Roger Sheridan and Crewmember Simon Amos.

An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew and the Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service were also in attendance.

We have no further information.
