Magpas Helimedix fly to Leighton Buzzard woman
At 9.45am (3rd October), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Alex Cross and Paramedic Keir Rutherford) arrived at a residential address in Leighton Buzzard via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance – after a woman (in her 70s) went into cardiac arrest.
The Helimedix team anaesthetised the patient (providing her with critical A&E care at the scene) before they accompanied her in a land ambulance, to Luton Hospital (monitoring her condition all the way). On arrival at the hospital, the patient was in a critical condition.
The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Steve Hunwicks.
