Magpas fly to Peterborough construction worker
At 9.24am this morning (9th) Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Zoe Smeed and Paramedic Jo Lambert) arrived at a building site in central Peterborough via the Magpas Air Ambulance, after a man (in his 20’s) suffered a fall whilst working on some scaffolding.
HART and Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service Crews worked together to safely remove the patient from the site and into the back of a land ambulance. The Magpas team then assessed the patient who had suffered an ankle injury. Fortunately the injury was not serious and so the man was allowed to go home.
The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member George Phillips.
An EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew were also present.
