Luton, moped incident – Magpas Helimedix fly to scene

At 6:54pm last night (9th), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Sarah Hazleman and Paramedic Dan Phillips) arrived in Luton via the Magpas Air Ambulance – after a man (in his 20’s) suffered a fall from a moped.

The Helimedix assessed the patient who endured a suspected hip and arm injury. The Magpas team worked alongside an EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew to administered pain relief for the man and put measures into place to protect his injuries. The patient was subsequently taken to Bedford Hospital in a stable condition by land ambulance.

The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Andy Craigie.
Bedfordshire Police were also present.
