Littleport man suffers fall down stairs – Magpas Helimedix fly to scene
At 3:22pm yesterday afternoon (27th), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor David Driver and Paramedic Phil Almond) arrived at a residential address in the area of Littleport, via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance. A man (in his 50’s) suffered a fall down some stairs whilst carrying a heavy object and sustained an injury to his head.
The Helimedix assessed the patient, whilst working alongside an EEAST Ambulance Crew. Fortunately, the man’s injuries were not life-threatening. The patient was then taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in a stable condition, via a Land Ambulance.
The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member George Phillips.
All the Emergency Services worked extremely well together.
