At 11.07am yesterday morning (18th) Magpas Doctor Richard Booker and Paramedic Ollie Robinson landed in Little Paxton via the Magpas Air Ambulance. They were called to treat a woman who had been injured whilst out on a boat.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the patient (in her 40’s) who had sustained a leg injury and gave her advanced pain relief at the scene (providing her with A&E level care). The team worked alongside an EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew to extricate the woman from the boat into an ambulance. The EEAST paramedic crew then took her via land ambulance to Hinchingbrooke Hospital, Huntingdon, in a stable condition.

The helicopter crew who flew the medical team were Pilot Andy Figg and Crewmember George Phillips.
