King’s Lynn woman flown to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by Magpas Helimedix
At 12:25pm on Friday (17.10.2014) afternoon, Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Alex Cross, Paramedic Keir Rutherford and Doctor Ali Hieatt) arrived at a residential address in the King’s Lynn area, via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance – a woman (in her 60’s) collapsed after complaining of a headache.
The Magpas team anaesthetised the patient (giving her specialist A&E level care at the scene), before flying her to Addenbrooke’s Hospital. On arrival at the hospital, the woman was in a critical but stable condition.
The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene & the patient with the Magpas Helmedix to hospital was: Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Rob Davies.
An EEAST Ambulance Crew and an EEAST Critical Care Paramedic were also present. All the Emergency Services worked extremely well together.
