King’s Lynn, cyclist injured in collision with vehicle – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to the scene

This morning (22nd), Magpas Doctors Leigh Bissett and Simon Lewis, and Paramedic Dan Read landed in King’s Lynn via the air ambulance to treat a female cyclist injured in a collision with a vehicle.

The Magpas team assessed the woman (in her 40s) who had sustained head and pelvic injuries. They anaesthetised her (providing her with A&E level care at the scene) before flying her to Addenbrooke’s Hospital. The woman was in a serious but stable condition upon arrival at hospital.

The Helicopter team who flew the patient were Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Lee Kennedy.

EEAST Ambulance Service, Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service, and Norfolk Police were also in attendance.
