At 8.35am this morning (13th), Magpas Doctors Richard Booker and Anne Booth and Paramedic Ryan Warwick arrived in Kettering via the Magpas Air Ambulance rapid response vehicle. They had been called to treat a man injured when the van he was travelling in left the road.

The Magpas medical team assessed the man (in his 60’s), who had sustained a leg injury and was trapped inside the vehicle. They gave him advanced pain relief (providing him with A&E level care) to allow the Fire and Rescue Service to extricate him from the van. The man was then taken by land ambulance to University Hospital Coventry in a stable condition.

An EMAS Ambulance Service paramedic crew, Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service and Northamptonshire Police were also in attendance.
