Kettering, man suffers cardiac arrest – Magpas Air Ambulance called to scene

A Magpas Air Ambulance rapid response vehicleAt 8:38pm on 27th November,  Magpas Doctor Lee Soomaroo and Critical Care Paramedic Andy Ormiston arrived in Kettering via a Magpas Air Ambulance Rapid Response Vehicle. They had been called to a man who had suffered a cardiac arrest.

Fortunately, before the Magpas advanced medical team arrived the patient had received bystander CPR. The Magpas doctor-paramedic team then assessed the patient (in his 40’s) and placed him into a medically induced coma at the scene (providing him with A&E level care), before accompanying him to Kettering Hospital via land ambulance. The man was in a critical condition upon arrival.

An EMAS Ambulance Service paramedic crew were also in attendance.
