Irthlingborough, motorcyclist injured in collision – Magpas Air Ambulance flies to the scene

At 5.44pm on Tuesday evening (25th), Magpas Doctor Richard Booker and Paramedic Chris Hawkins landed in Irthlingborough via the Magpas Air Ambulance. They had been called to treat a motorcyclist involved in a collision with a car.

The Magpas medical team assessed a man (in his 20’s), who had sustained a serious leg injury. They gave him advanced pain relief and sedated him at the scene (providing him with A&E level care). The team then accompanied him by land ambulance to Northampton General Hospital. He was in a stable condition upon arrival at hospital.

The helicopter crew who flew the medical team were Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crewmember Roger Sheridan.

An EMAS Ambulance Service paramedic crew and Northamptonshire Police were also in attendance.
