Huntingdon woman goes into cardiac arrest – Magpas Helimedix called out
At 2:25pm on Saturday afternoon (18th), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Maria Smith and Paramedic Chris Hawkins) arrived at a residential address, east of Huntingdon, via the Magpas Helimedix Rapid Response BMW – after a woman (in her 60’s) went into cardiac arrest.
A First Responder and an EEAST Ambulance Crew were at the scene when the Magpas team arrived and were providing CPR for the patient. The Helimedix provided advanced life support and successfully resuscitated the woman, before accompanying her to Hinchingbrooke Hospital by land ambulance. On arrival at the hospital, the patient was in a stable condition.
All the Emergency Services worked extremely well together.
