At 7.58pm on Sunday (12th) Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Wayne Kark and Paramedic Dan Phillips) arrived in the Hitchin area via the Magpas Rapid Response BMW – following a road traffic collision involving a car and a cyclist.

The Helimedix assessed a male patient who had suffered head, chest and leg injuries. The Magpas team anaesthetised the man (providing specialist A&E care at the scene), before accompanying him to Luton and Dunstable Hospital by land ambulance. On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a serious but stable condition.
