At 7:46am this morning (6th) Magpas Doctor Scott Knapp and Paramedic Ollie Robinson arrived in Great Stukeley via a Magpas Air Ambulance rapid response vehicle. They had been called to treat a man who had been injured and left trapped in a collision between two vans and a car.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the patient (in his 20’s) who had sustained a serious leg injury. They worked alongside the Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service to safely extricate the man from the vehicle and sedated him at the scene (providing him with A&E level care). The doctor-paramedic team then accompanied the patient to Addenbrooke’s Hospital via land ambulance where he was in a stable condition upon arrival.

An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew and Cambridgeshire Police were also in attendance.
