At 2.05pm yesterday afternoon (12th) Magpas Doctor Tristan Dyer and Paramedic Alex Pearce landed in Flitwick, Cambridgeshire via the Magpas Air Ambulance. They had been called to treat a woman who had sustained a serious arm injury after being kicked by a horse.
The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the patient (in her 40’s) who had sustained badly broken bones and gave her advanced pain relief at the scene (providing her with A&E level care). They accompanied the woman to Bedford Hospital where she was in a stable condition upon arrival.
The helicopter crew who flew the medical team were Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crewmember Simon Amos.
An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew were also in attendance.
