Essex man flown to Addenbrooke’s Hospital – thanks to Air Ambulance team work
At 3:06pm yesterday afternoon (29th), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Peter Holden and Paramedic Dan phillips) arrived in a rural part of Braintree, via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance.
An Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Doctor and Paramedic provided enhanced pre-hospital care for the man in his 60’s, who had suffered a fall from tree, before handing the patient into the care of the Magpas team. The Magpas Helimedix then flew the patient to Addenbrooke’s hospital (monitoring his condition all the way). On arrival at the hospital, the man was in a stable condition.
The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene: Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Simon Standen.
Both Air Ambulance crews worked extremely well together, alongside an EEAST Ambulance Crew.
This is all the information we have at present.
