Ely serious motorbike collision – Magpas Helimedix attend

At 12:21am this morning, Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Sarah Hazleman, Paramedic Dan Phillips and Doctor Rod Mackenzie) arrived in the Ely area, via the Magpas Helimedix Rapid Response BMW – after a motorbike collided with a metal fence.

The Magpas team anaesthetised a man (in his 20’s) who suffered head and chest injuries. After providing crucial A&E level care for the patient at the scene, the Helimedix then accompanied the patient to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in a land ambulance. On arrival at the hospital, the man was in serious but stable condition.

East Anglian Air Ambulance, an EEAST Ambulance Crew and the Police were also present. All the Emergency Services worked extremely well together.

This is all the information we have at present.
