Ely, motorbike incident – Magpas Helimedix fly to scene
At 10:30am today (10th), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Raluca Ionescu and Paramedic Simon Standen) arrived near Ely via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance – after a road traffic incident involving a motorbike.
The Helimedix Team assessed two patients. They provided pain relief for a woman (in her 50’s) who suffered chest injuries, and for a man (in his 50’s) who suffered arm injuries. The Team then accompanied the patients to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by land ambulance. On arrival at the hospital the patients were in a stable condition.
The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Adam Bright.
An EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew and the Police were also on the scene.
