Ely, man collapses – Magpas Helimedix fly to him

At 8.45am today (11th), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Tom Odbert and Paramedic Simon Standen) arrived in the Ely area via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance. A man (in his 40’s) had collapsed.

The Helimedix provided specialist A&E care for the patient, before accompanying the man in a land ambulance to Addenbrooke’s hospital (monitoring his condition all the way). On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a serious but stable condition.

The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Steve Hunwicks.

An EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew was also on the scene.

This is all the information we have.
