Child injured, collision nr Black Cat Roundabout – Magpas Helimedix attend

At 6:30pm last night (23rd), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Tom Odbert and Paramedic Dan Read) arrived at the A421 near the Black Cat Roundabout, via the Magpas Rapid Response BMW – after a serious road traffic incident. A nine year old girl suffered severe arm and leg injuries.

The Magpas team administered pain relief and put measures into the place to protect the patient’s arm and leg. They then accompanied the girl, in a Land Ambulance, to Bedford South Wing Hospital. On arrival at the hospital, she was in a serious but stable condition. Her mother was at her side.

Two EEAST Ambulance Crews, two EEAST Senior Paramedics, Fire & Rescue Crews and the Police were also on the scene. All the Emergency Services worked extremely well together.

This is all the information we have at present.
