Chatteris man unconscious after stair fall – Magpas Helimedix attend
At 4:19pm yesterday (23rd), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Phil Morgan and Paramedic Dan Read) arrived at a residential address in Chatteris, via the Magpas Rapid Response BMW – after a man (in his 50’s) suffered a fall down some stairs, which left him unconscious.
The Magpas team assessed the patient, before working alongside a Fire & Rescue Crew, a HART team, two senior EEAST officers and an EEAST Ambulance Crew at the scene, to remove the patient safely from the building (this was a challenging extrication from the first floor of the building). The Helimedix accompanied him in a Land Ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital. On arrival at the hospital, the man’s condition had greatly improved.
All the Emergency Services worked extremely well together.
This is all the information we have at present.
