Cambridge, woman falls from bike – Magpas Helimedix fly to scene

At 3:30pm on Friday (24th), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Sarah Hazleman and Paramedic Dan Read) arrived in Central Cambridge via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance. A woman (in her 30’s) had suffered a leg injury after falling from her bike.

The Helimedix sedated the patient (providing her with specialist A&E care at the scene), before accompanying her to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by land ambulance. On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a stable condition.

The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Simon Standen.

An EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew were also on the scene.

This is all the information we have.
