Cambridge, man suffers cardiac arrest – Magpas Air Ambulance called to scene

At 3:32am this morning (22nd) Magpas Doctor Rishi Rallan and Paramedic Alex Pearce arrived in Cambridge via a Magpas Air Ambulance rapid response vehicle. They had been called to treat a man who had gone into cardiac arrest.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the patient (in his 40’s) and placed him into a medically induced coma at the scene (providing him with A&E level care). The doctor-paramedic team then accompanied the patient to Papworth Hospital via land ambulance, monitoring his condition throughout. He was in a critical condition upon arrival.

An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew and Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue were also in attendance.
