At 7:04pm last night (21st), Magpas Doctor Jono Ritson and Paramedic Steve Chambers landed in Brentwood via the Magpas Air Ambulance. They had been called to treat multiple patients, following a road traffic collision involving 2x cars – leaving a patient trapped inside one of the vehicles.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed a woman (in her late teens) and worked alongside EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crews and Essex Fire & Rescue Service crews to safely remove her from the vehicle she was in. Fortunately the patient didn’t suffer any serious injuries and was taken to Basildon Hospital, by land ambulance, for further investigation.

The Magpas doctor and paramedic team also provided advanced assessment for three other patients (a man in his 20’s, a woman in her 70’s and a man in his 40’s). All three people were also taken to Basildon Hospital, by land ambulance, for further observation.

The helicopter crew who flew the medical team and patient were Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crewmember Lee Kennedy.
Essex Police were also in attendance.

We have no further information.
