Biggleswade, teenager suffers serious leg injury – Magpas Helimedix fly to him

At 12:45pm yesterday (22nd), the Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Raluca Ionescu and Paramedic Chris Hawkins) arrived at a playing field in Biggleswade via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance – after a young man in his late teens suffered a serious leg injury.

The Helimedix sedated the patient, providing A&E level care, before he was taken to Bedford Hospital in a land ambulance. On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a stable condition.

An EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew was also on the scene.

The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Steve Hunwicks.
