Bedfordshire, young woman in rugby incident – Magpas called to her
At 7.00pm on Friday evening (9th) Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Steve Corry-Bass and Paramedic Simon Standen) arrived in Bedfordshire via the Magpas Rapid Response BMW, where they were requested to meet with an EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew who were on route to hospital with a patient.
The Magpas team assessed a young woman (in her teens), who had suffered a head injury whilst playing rugby. The Helimedix then anaesthetised the patient (providing her with specialist A&E care), before accompanying her to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by land ambulance. On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a serious but stable condition.
