Bedfordshire man suffers cardiac arrest – Magpas Helimedix fly to scene
At approximately 1pm today (Friday 15th August), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Chris Adcock and paramedic Steve Chambers) arrived at a residential address in Bedfordshire, via the Magpas Air Ambulance – after an adult male suffered a cardiac arrest.
The Helimedix accompanied the man in a Land Ambulance to Papworth Hospital monitoring his condition all the way. On arrival at the hospital, he was in a serious but stable condition.
Magpas Dr Adcock explained, “Thanks to the swift actions of a community first responder, who had performed CPR and the rapid response and treatment by the ambulance team this gentleman has been given the best possible chance of making a good recovery. This incident highlights how important first aid skills really are.”
