Bedfordshire, man in motocross incident – Magpas Helimedix fly to him
At 4:42pm yesterday afternoon (9th), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Sarah Hazleman and Paramedic Dan Phillips) arrived at a motocross track in central Bedfordshire, south of Kempston, via a Magpas Rapid Response BMW – after a man (in his 40’s) had fallen from a motocross bike.
The Helimedix assessed the patient who had suffered chest injuries and severe breathing difficulties. The Magpas team administered enhanced pain relief (providing specialist A&E care at the scene), before accompanying the man to Bedford Hospital by land ambulance. On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a serious but stable condition.
EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crews, a HART crew and a private ambulance crew were also present.
This is all the information we have.
