Bedfordshire 2x car collision – Magpas Helimedix fly to scene

At 8:28am this morning, Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Nathan Howes and Paramedic Dan Read) arrived at in the Shefford area of Bedfordshire via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance – after two cars were involved in a road traffic collision.

The Magpas team assessed a man (in his 40’s) who fortunately didn’t suffer any life threatening injuries. The Helimedix administered pain relief for the patient before working alongside EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crews to remove him safely out of the vehicle. The man was then taken to Bedford Hospital in a stable condition, by land ambulance.

The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Rob Davies.

Two EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crews, an EEAST Ambulance Service Rapid Response Paramedic and an EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Officer were all present, alongside the Police.
