Bedford, young man injured in motorcycle incident – Magpas Air Ambulance called to scene

At 8:19pm last night (18th) Magpas Doctor Lee Soomaroo and Paramedic Alex Pearce arrived in Bedford via a Magpas Air Ambulance rapid response vehicle. They had been called to treat a young man who had been injured in an incident involving a motorcycle.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the patient (in his teens) who had sustained a serious leg injury. They sedated him at the scene to protect him injuries (providing him with A&E level care) before accompanying him to Bedford Hospital via land ambulance. He was in a stable condition upon arrival.

An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew, Bedfordshire Police and the Fire and Rescue Service were also in attendance.
