Bedford, road traffic incident – Magpas Helimedix called to scene

At 5.10pm yesterday (4th) Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Vijayasankar and Paramedic Dan Cody) arrived in Bedford via the Magpas Rapid Response BMW – following a road traffic collision involving a cyclist and a car.

The Helimedix assessed a man (in his 50’s) who had suffered a serious head injury. The Magpas team anaesthetised the patient (providing specialist A&E care at the scene), before accompanying him to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by land ambulance. On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a serious but stable condition.

An EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew, 3 EEAST Rapid Response Vehicles, and the Police were also on the scene.

This is all the information we have.
