Bedford, man suffers chest injuries – Magpas Helimedix fly to scene
At 5:04pm on Friday afternoon (7h), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Nick Scott and Paramedic Dan Read) arrived in central Bedford via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance, having landed in a nearby school playing field. A man (in his 20’s) suffered injuries to his chest.
The Magpas team assessed the patient and administered pain relief, whilst working alongside an EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew at the scene. The man was then taken to Bedford Hospital by land ambulance, in a stable condition, for further observation.
The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Andy Craigie.
An EEAST Ambulance Service Rapid Response Paramedic was also present. All the Emergency Services worked extremely well together.
