Bedford man goes into cardiac arrest – Magpas Helimedix fly to him

At 11:45am on Saturday morning (24th), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Tom Odbert and Paramedic Dan Phillips) arrived in central Bedford via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance – after a man (in his 50’s) went into cardiac arrest and needed specialist care.

The Magpas team sedated the patient (providing him with A&E level care), before accompanying him to Bedford Hospital in a land ambulance. On arrival at the hospital, the man was in a serious but stable condition.

The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member Adam Bright.

An EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew was also present.

This is all the information we have at present.
