Bedford, man falls from pushbike – Magpas Helimedix fly to him
At 8.10pm on Saturday (11th) Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Maria Smith and Paramedic Simon Standen) arrived in Bedford via the Magpas Air Ambulance – after a man (in his 60’s) had fallen from a pushbike.
The Helimedix assessed the patient who had suffered serious chest injuries. The Magpas team anaesthetised the man (providing specialist A&E care at the scene), before flying him to Addenbrooke’s Hospital. On arrival at the hospital the patient was in a serious but stable condition.
An EEAST Ambulance Service Paramedic Crew and the Police were also on the scene.
