Bedford man falls from height – Magpas Helimedix fly to the scene
At 11:55am this morning Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Tristan Dyer and Paramedic Keir Rutherford) landed in the centre of Bedford, via the Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance – after a man (in his 40’s) fell from the roof of a multi-storey car park and suffered numerous serious injuries.
The Magpas team provided the patient with specialist A&E level care at the scene, whilst working alongside EEAST Ambulance Crews and two senior paramedics. The Helimedix then accompanied the man in a Land Ambulance to Bedford Hospital (monitoring his condition all the way). On arrival at the hospital, the man was in a critical condition.
The Helicopter team who flew the Helimedix to the scene was: Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crew Member George Phillips.
The Police were also present. All the Emergency Services worked extremely well together.
This is all the information we have at present.
