At 12:24pm yesterday afternoon (3rd) Magpas Doctor Charlotte Haldane and Paramedic Dan Cody landed in Bedford via the Magpas Air Ambulance. They had been called to treat a girl who had been injured in a fall from a horse.

The Magpas enhanced medical team assessed the patient (in her teens) who had sustained a serious leg injury. They sedated her at the scene (providing her with A&E level care) before airlifting her to Bedford Hospital. The girl was in a stable condition upon arrival.

The helicopter crew who flew the medical team and patient were Chief Pilot Richard Eastwood and Crewmember Simon Amos.

An EEAST Ambulance Service paramedic crew were also in attendance.

We have no further information.
