Barton Road, two cars collide – Magpas Helimedix attend
At 7:58pm yesterday last night (12th), Magpas Helimedix (Doctor Jon Birks, Paramedic Chris Hawkins and Paramedic Miss Jo Lambert) arrived at Barton Road in Cambridge, near the M11, in the Magpas Rapid Response BMW – after a road traffic collision involving two cars. One of the vehicles ended up on its roof, leaving a man (in his 70’s) trapped inside.
The Helimedix assessed the patient, before working alongside Fire & Rescue Crews and an EEAST Ambulance Crew to make sure the he could get out of the car safely. Fortunately, the man didn’t suffer any life-threatening injuries, he was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for further observation, in a Land Ambulance, in a stable condition. A man in his late teens was also assessed at the roadside by the Ambulance Crew and was given permission to go home.
An EEAST Ambulance Officer and the Police were also present. All the Emergency Services worked extremely well together.
This is all the information we have at present.
